GKA Information - URGENT! Immediate action required.

The 2018 Gene Kelly Awards ceremony will be SATURDAY, May 26 at 7:30 PM.

Musical theater students and their families come together at the Benedum theater for an energized and elegant evening of celebrating high school musical theater in our region.

The deadline for schools to place their ticket orders is approaching. Mrs. Klicker must submit the entire order at once and PAY FOR IT.  IF YOU ORDER TIX BY TEXT or BY EMAIL YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR IT -even if you decide not to  attend. Adults $35  students $25.  TEXT or Email Mrs. Klicker with your name and number and TYPE  of tickets. (You can use the contact tab directly on this website.)  This show often sells out, so I NEED TO GET THE ORDER TOGETHER ASAP. I plan to submit the order FRIDAY at 5:00 PM - so plan to have your ticket order in by the end of the school day on Friday.

Due to the assembly today we had to prepare the stage and it needs to stay clean and ready for the band concert on Tuesday.  We will resume set strike on Wednesday and Thursday of next week 4/25 & 4/26. Hopefully we can finish.

A BIG SHOUT OUT of THANKS to all who have come and helped with cleaning up costumes, sets and props!

Looking ahead to this week.. the Google calendar has been updated and revised.  Here are some of the high points of this week...

BAKE SALE REMINDER!!! DONATIONS ARE NEEDED for FRIDAY & SATURDAY

4/9 MONDAY - 6:30 PM CAST and CREWS - starting in the Library, possibly moving to the Auditorium. We should be done by 9:00 PM

4/10 TUESDAY - OFF!

4/11 WEDNESDAY - 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM (possibly 9:30 pm) STUDENT PIT, CAST, CREWS - report to prepare for PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS. Crews & Pit (bring instrument) should dress in all black. CAST will be assigned costumes to wear. Bring ALL costume pieces and appropriate under garments, make-up & accessories.

Professional photos will be available on line for purchase from the photographer. More details later.

CAST & CREWS - PLAN TO STAY for FIX IT/Run some numbers/scenes to prepare for FAMILY SHOW. (Using rehearse score or audio from our live recordings.)

4/12 THURSDAY

12:00 NOON - Group E.D. if form was turned in last week.

3:00 PM CALL for CAST and CREWS - Double set up FAMILY ACTIVITIES & THE PERFORMANCE

4:15 PM ACTIVITIES OPEN TO GUESTS

5:45 PM Auditorium doors open to guests

STRIKE SET - ALL CREWS AND CAST - MANDATORY!

Set strike will continue through the week. Plan to help at least one other day. Sign -up with Mrs. Klicker on Monday.
