Northgate announces preparations for an outdoor, live audience, high school musical theatre performance scheduled for mid-May.

A completely virtual performance option, called a Zoomsical, will be available for students in grades 7 - 12 who prefer a virtual experience.

MONDAY - APRIL 13, 2020

Dear Musical Friends,
I want you to know that I'm thinking of you. You have been in my thoughts - almost continually - since our last rehearsal; that seems so long ago in March.

However, today I'm especially thinking of you, because this was to be the first night of Tech Week. While that thought leaves a great emptiness in my heart, at the same my heart is full of gratitude that you are all healthy, safe, and facing the challenges of our circumstances with courage and a positive attitude.

I'm not sure what path this journey may take. We are still postponed; not canceled. What that may look like, I'm not sure. I am working, along with our production team, to explore some possible scenarios and hope to reach out with a Google Meeting  for students later in the week. Love, Mrs. K

Dear Musical Famliy and Friends,

So much has changed, and continues to change, since my last post.

I hope this finds you, and all those you love, safe and well.

We still consider our show as postponed - not cancelled.

What that might look like cannot yet be determined.

Dr. Johns will work with us to make the best possible outcome.

On Monday we begin another new journey into total online education.

One oucome of this change is the use of Google Meeting. As I am learing how to use this tool, it appears to me that we could use it to have virtual rehearsals and crew meetings. I am very excited about the possibility of "getting together"! How I miss all of you! This shift in our learning also means that I can set up the cast, crews, and pit into a Google Classroom for more fluid communiation. 

I will keep the website going for announcements and information, especially for parents, famly, friends and community volunteers.

WEEK of 03/15/2020

New ticket sales will be suspended while school is closed. We still plan to perform our show sometime during the spring of 2020. Watch for updates as events unfold. NO decisions will be made until after the 14 day closure. 

This closure is different than for severe weather events. The recommendations are to avoid large gatherings and to follow "social distancing" protocols. Therefore, while it may still be responsible for two or three friends to meet together, larger gatherings of cast members is NOT recommended. Seek and follow the guidance of your parent(s)/guardian(s) as to these situations. Use all your resources as we problem solve and navigate these events.

Please keep memorizing your lines (including ensemble responses and 'stage business'), your songs, and your dances.  Kait is working on videos for new dances. Ms. Evans is working on voice part recordings.  These will be posted/shared as soon as they are avalable. Continue to study your script and use the rehearsal software.

Remember...Keep your chin up - we're all in the same boat!
